SIDNEY--Area boys and girls ages 9-to-14 are invited to participate in the annual Sidney Knights of Columbus Council #1861 Free Throw Contest.
The competition will be held on Sunday, February 9, 2025 at 1 pm in the Sidney Middle School Gym. Entry forms are available from Physical Education teachers in all area schools, or can be filled out at the Middle School Gym on the day of the competition. Originally piloted in Florida and North Dakota, since 1972 local councils have sponsored the Knights of Columbus Free Throw Championship for boys and girls from the ages of 9 to 14 to provide an athletic outlet and encourage the values of sportsmanship and healthy competition. Let your child or grandchild show off their sharpshooting skills during a fun afternoon of basketball competition.
