Storm Downs Minatare, 63-31 Fall to Cody-Kilgore by 20

CHAPPELL--Creek Valley's Storm Basketball team split their first two games of the new year's schedule, and they sit at 5-and-4 at this point of the season. The Storm hosted Minatare on Tuesday, January 7, and were able to build a lead and cruise to a 63-to-31 win. Junior Lane Brenneman led the scoring for Creek Valley with 16 points and junior Mason Timm also was in double-digits with 13 points.

On Friday, January 10, the Storm made the trip to Cody to match up against the Cody-Kilgore Cowboys, and the Cowboys made it known early that the Storm was going to have problems scoring against them. Their tough defense limited the Storm's opportunities, and made points hard to come by. The Cowboys were able to pull away and took the 20-point win, 61-to-41.

The Storm was scheduled to travel to Sioux County for a January 14 match up, and then they host Paxton on January 16. The Storm is currently 5-and-4 and have games on the schedule over the next few weeks that they should be able to win.
