Drop Games to Bayard, South Platte
POTTER--The Lady Coyotes have struggled so far this year with only two wins, and they came against bottom-ranked teams Creek Valley and Banner County. With losses to Bayard and South Platte to start the year, the upcoming schedule had the Lady Coyotes traveling to Kimball on Tuesday in the hopes of grabbing a win against the 1-and-9 Kimball Lady Longhorns. If not, the girls will have to wait January 18 for a win when they take on the 5-and-5 Hay Springs Lady Hawks. They do have a game before that on January 17, but that game is against Leyton in Dalton, so the chances of the Lady Coyotes coming out of that contest with a win are not really measurable.
Potter-Dix had a 33 point loss to Bayard on January 10, 53-to-20, and then were routed by South Platte 51-to-16 the next day. The problem is the Lady Coyotes inability to score against teams featuring good defensive play. The Lady Coyotes have to work on their passing to open up scoring opportunities. The Lady Coyotes have some good athletes, they just need to do a better job at passing and creating separation from defenders.
