Creative District Paints the New Year Red

anuary's entrance brought snow flurries and paint drips, Sidney's Creative District held its first paint and sip of the year at Elston House on Sunday, January 5. Held for a packed house despite the snowy streets, the 30-plus-person event delighted all in attendance with winter gnome canvas' and canned brews compliments of Boss City. There was gnome doubt about it, the evening was full of fun while chillin' with the gnomies.

Looking towards the future, Sidney's Creative District has more paint socials on the horizon. "We're looking for locations to hold this regularly," Brandy Stone director of the Creative District had to say. Stone brought her artistic talents to the paint and sip, leading the canvas workshop, "We're hoping to raise more funds for the Creative District, murals are a big priority of ours." Each painted canvas featured the artist's rendition of a winter scene complimented with a bearded gnome.
