Delta Dawn When the Light Comes On: Week 51

"Unto us a Son is given! He shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, Prince of Peace. a gift to Men." Isaiah 9:6,7 God's pattern awakens the people (shepherds), who awaken the Church (Simion). Then Anna awakens the government. Luke 2

Jewish and Gregorian calendars have come together. Hannukah and Christmas fall on the same day. The first book of Maccabees (see the Apocrypha) reports the days when the temple was destroyed by Syria. Jewish priests had refused to offer hogs on their sacred altar. They, then sought refuge in the desert of Israel. The Syrians attacked their hideaway, killing over 1200 people, yes, on the Sabbath! Israel experienced this, again, October 7, 2024.

Jude Maccabee (The Hammer), stirs the men of Israel to bravery. God's Temple is restored, the Lampstand put in place, but only enough holy oil was found for the Menorah to burn for one day. Miraculously, God caused that Lamp to burn brightly for 8 full days! Hannukah is remembered on the same day every Jewish year.

This year, Hannukah begins December 25 and lasts 8 days reflecting Sukkot, when God placed Himself into a new temple, The Son of Man, Jesus. Born that first day and circumcised the 8th day, God's Plan of salvation, deliverance and defeat of the devil was under way. "Do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit whom you have from God for you were bought with a price?" I Corinthians 6:19,20. Let us receive the greatest Gift God ever gave to Man!

It is no wonder we demonstrate God's love for one another at this time of year! It is in our DNA. We are Redeemed. Believe it, receive it and say so! Tell it on house tops, on mountains, on highways and byways: Jesus is the Lord of all Life!

Our callings and careers are needed in the corporate and industrial world (market place). It is the anointing God put on each of us that builds this nation. Our spiritual health must be maintained by daily Bible study to build a prayer pad on the Rock of righteousness, so we boldly go where men and women have never gone before. It is vital that we keep ourselves from lies leading to deception and destruction, for God is with us!

Now is a perfect time to train our babes with a 'believing God, faith project'. Instruct in prayers that prosper, exemplify how to survey options, count the cost and make wise choices. Demonstrate balancing wants, legalities and wisdom for harmony. Use could, ought, would and should words for growth of character, only.

Friends, we must 'trim our lamps' for the coming Bridegroom. Matthew 20. Five virgins were wise, five foolish, not watching for His coming. Children have choices. Parents must encourage, direct, correct, protect and provide in Godly precepts. Give good gifts to your progeny: eggs, bread and fish for food. Our goal is to nurture offspring physically, psychologically, intellectually, emotionally, socially and spiritually. Obviously, spiritual growth empowers them with righteousness, authority and character of Messiah (Christ) over every aspect of life.

"I will perfect all that concerns you [and empower you to become all I created you to be, now, in this time]." Psalm 138:8
