Michael Edward Lehman, also known as Ed, Mike or Edward Michael, formally of Sidney, NE passed away peacefully at the age 69 in Pleasant View, IA on Friday, November 22, 2024.

Mike was born on June 28th, 1955, in Sidney, Nebraska to Edward and Patricia (McMillan) Lehman. Mike enjoyed art, creating several paintings and drawings of different things throughout the years. He enjoyed riding his bicycle and would go for miles at a time. Mike also had an early interest in music. He learned to play the guitar, and eventually formed a band with some of his friends from school. Where he was the lead guitarist and singer. From this he developed lifelong friends whom he helped foster a love and passion for music and he helped teach others and mentor them in their own musical careers. Mike graduated from Storm Lake High School in Storm Lake, Iowa in 1974. He went on to earn his bachelor's degree from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, graduating with honors. Mike followed in his father's career footsteps in sales and marketing for different companies.
Mike was a loving father who cherished his son from a previous marriage, Mike became a Boy Scout troop leader and was very proud when his son earned the rank of Eagle Scout and went on to join the US Navy.
He is survived by his son, John Lehman of Colorado Springs, CO, sister Jana (husband Bob) Deines of Sidney, NE, brothers, Chris Lehman of Omaha, NE and Tim Lehman of Grimes, IA, nieces and nephews: Sarah, Jenny, Mike, Matt, Tyler and lifelong friends: Malinda, Lee, Chuck, Michael, and Steve.
Mike was proceeded in death by his parents Edward and Patricia.
Mike will forever be remembered as being thoughtful and compassionate, for his love of music, and his wit and sense of humor, but most important his love for family and friends.
