Sidney Basketball Looks Ready for Season

Fine Performances in Hall of Fame Game Against Hershey

SIDNEY--It was just a scrimmage game, but it did look that both the Lady Raider and Red Raider Basketball teams were ready to get into the season with their performances against the Hershey Panthers in the Hall of Fame Game scrimmage on Tuesday, November 26, 2024.

Head Coach Tyler Shaw's Lady Raiders started off the night, and quickly used their strong defense to stymie the Lady Panthers and pull away with a big lead. Senior Kayla Westby looked in mid-season form running the offense while senior Carli Black, Ryan Dillehay, and Jordan DeNovellis had the offense in synch. The Lady Raiders looked ready for the season, and they open at home against Chadron on Friday.

The Sidney Cheer Squad and Danz team were also on-hand to entertain the crowd as they also get ready for the big season ahead.

The Sidney Red Raider Boys team also looked sharp, with their speed and length giving their offense a boost. With most of the team over six feet in height, the Red Raiders should be strong under the boards. They also have the speed and skill to keep up with any team in the conference, so look for another big year for Head Coach Austin Lewis.

The Raider teams open the season on Friday, December 6 at home against the Chadron Cardinals.
