KARL J. BULES, JR

Karl J. Bules, Jr. died Thursday, November 21, 2024 at his home in Chappell.

Graveside memorial services were held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 30, 2024 in the Hillside Cemetery south of Julesburg, Colorado.

Cremation has taken place and there is no visitation at the funeral home.

Karl was born June 18, 1930 in Peetz, Colorado, the oldest of seven children born to Karl J. and Katherine M. (Strasrypka) Bules. The Bules family later moved to Cheyenne County.

On January 8, 1954 he was united in marriage to Mildred May Taylor at Lodgepole, Nebraska. They lived north of Lodgepole and multiple other places in Nebraska and Colorado before settling in Chappell later in life.

Jr. worked several years farming including on the family farm as well as worked at Egging Company. He purchased a dirt scraper and spent many years doing dirt work. He enjoyed collecting scrap metal, sitting on the deck at the lake house and telling stories.

He is survived by his daughter Karleen (Steve) Reichman of Chappell; son Karl (Jan) J. Bules, III of Lodgepole; sister Alice (Jim) Ford of Alliance; sister-in-law Connie Bules of Sidney; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and great and great-great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife Mildred, son Michael Bules, parents, sister and brother-in-law Donna (Ed) Murray, sister and brother-in-law Shirley (Jerry) Jurgens, brother and sister-in-law Wayne (Ginger) Bules, brothers Richard Bules and Ted Bules, grandson James Kriha, and granddaughter Karman Reichman.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
