"To know wisdom and instruction; to perceive the words of understanding; to receive the instruction of wisdom, justice, judgement and equity." Proverbs 1:2,3 Many people misunderstand who God is, what He's up to, where He stands, when He moves, how He plumbs circumstances and why He uses the people He does.
A study of Proverbs, Psalms and New Testament, will find that God is not nice. He is just, right and good. He is not fair. He is gracious, kind and equitable. That is, what He does for me, He must do for you. What you say is what you get, Mark 11:23, so choose to say what He says about you and to you! He created Man capable, intelligent and lovable. Further, He loves us even if we don't love Him.
Recently I wanted to give a little replica of Noah's Ark to a children's group. I looked it over well. Seems Mr. Chicken was on the cupula, not Mrs. Dove. Mr. Noah was on deck, but Mrs. Noah was missing. Were she and Mrs. Chicken below decks fixing dinner?
Further, Mr. & Mrs. Giraffe were in danger of falling overboard. Armed with a glue gun, I set about preparing the bowels of the Ark to secure them in place. I spied a little white paper. Pulling it out, I discovered it was one of those packets we find in shoes or vitamins to absorb moisture!
Father God laughs at adversity and smiles on His children, making all things beautiful in His time -YOU! Ecclesiastes 3:11. God declares the end from the beginning. We, His People, were created according to His Plan and Pathway (derek). Psalm 56:8. He writes a book for each life, recording in it daily. He reads from this book judgement day. Revelation 21:27. Jesus is our Defender there. God's judgement is just! As Spirit and Life, He put Himself within us! His pleasure is to do us good! By Him, we're enabled to do the right thing the right way for the right reason, at the right time, with the right people simply because it's right to do, especially when no one is watching!
That's God's Character! He created natural Man, anointed him with grace and mercy; Himself! Then, He submitted Himself to natural words and choices. Genesis 1;28 Deceived by satan, Adam chose the wrong ruler. Eden was no longer home.
L. Frank Baum wrote "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz" in the year 1900 as a 'children's novel'. It gave children a "Catch-22" lesson: 'You can't do this until the other is done, first'. He did not consider any of the 13 OZ books political. Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer made no such claim when creating "The Wizard of Oz" movie in 1939. Having done "Ben-Hur" in silent form, 1925, the writers were Bible inspired and some actors Jewish. The roaring lion of Judah was their logo! The USA's Great Depression was barely over as this movie released August 25. World War II began when Germany invaded Poland, September 1, 1939. Encouraging mankind, especially children, was primary as MGM developed this film.
"Your Word is a lamp unto my feet and a Light unto my path for You have given me Life. I am Yours. Save me!" Psalm 119:105; 94.
