The holiday season is around the corner, and the All is Bright Christmas Tour is gearing up to bring joy to the entire Sidney area and surrounding communities. This annual event would not be possible without the incredible efforts of all of the dedicated volunteers who work so hard to transform the Cheyenne County Fairgrounds into a magical and breathtaking winter wonderland. They are so grateful for everyone who has already signed up, but they are still in need of more holiday helpers to bring this experience to life.
So we are calling on individuals, families, school groups, non-profits, and organizations to get involved in various ways. Here's how you can help:
Before the Event:
Decorators, Tree Fluffers, Light Stringers, and Stake Pounders are needed to transform the Cheyenne County Fairgrounds into a sparkling winter wonderland. Volunteers will help set up displays, decorate trees, and install lights throughout November.
During the Event:
This is where the community's talent and holiday spirit can truly shine! They are in need of:
• Volunteer Positions:
Greeters and Santa's Helpers: Assist with welcoming guests, directing families to activities, and helping Santa spread holiday cheer.
• Group and Organization Opportunities: Host a Performance: School bands, choirs, carolers, dance groups, or other local performers are welcome to join us for a night of music or entertainment to spread joy and holiday cheer.
• Host a Fundraiser: Schools, nonprofits, or community organizations can set up a stand to raise money by selling items like hot chocolate, baked goods, soup, popcorn, or other seasonal treats. It's a great way to engage with the community and fundraise for a good cause!
After the Event:
After the holiday season ends, they will be in need of Take-Down Crew Members to help carefully pack and store decorations to ensure everything is ready for next year.
There are opportunities for all skills and interests, whether you enjoy creative decorating, connecting with the community, or lending a hand with physical tasks. If you're interested in joining a volunteer team or want more information, please contact Kendra Mitchell at:
Let's make this holiday season truly bright for Cheyenne County – together!
