Doris Weir, age 100, of Pueblo, Co, previously of Sidney, passed away on October 15th. Born April 4, 1924 in Nebraska City, she moved with her family to Cheyenne Co in 1926. After graduating from Sidney High, she moved to Denver and attended business school where she met her future husband, Chuck, at an USO dance. They married in 1943. After WWII they moved to Cheyenne Co and farmed north west of Sidney until 1981 when they retired and moved to Sidney.
She was preceded in death by her husband Chuck, parents Earl and Tina Young, and sister and brother-in-law Dorothy and Ray Davis.
She is survived by three children: Cheryl Hafer of Colorado Springs, Rod (Mary) of Hawaii, Susan Stapleton (Mike) of Pueblo, five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
