Creek Valley Hosts Junior MAC Volleyball and Football Games

CHAPPELL--Creek Valley High School was bustling on Saturday, October 12, as the MAC Conference held their Elementary School and Junior High Volleyball tournament, and Elementary and Middle School Football Tournament. Good crowds came out to cheer on the youngsters on the gridiron and the volleyball court. After a full day of competition, the report results were as follows:

For the Junior High Volleyball Tournament, the Potter-Dix girls defeated the South Platte team, and advanced to the next round. They then were defeated by the Garden County team.

The Creek Valley team started off against the Garden County team, and were defeated.

The Leyton girls faced the Minatare girls in the first round and were defeated.

The Minatare team faced the Garden County team in the Championship Round and defeated Garden County.

In Football, the Creek Valley fourth and fifth grade team defeated the Garden County third and fourth grade team, and will play a championship game against Paxton on October 19 in Paxton at 2 p.m.

The Creek Valley fifth and sixth grade team lost to the Paxton fifth and sixth grade team.

Win or lose, the elementary and middle school athletes all had a great time competing, and the experience they gained will help them develop into better athletes in the future.
