Security First Bank Donates to Sidney Public Schools

SIDNEY--On Thursday, October 10, First Security made an $885 donation to the Sidney Public Schools with proceeds earned from their Affinity Debit Card program. The program offers Sidney Red Raider Debit Cards, which are available for most Security First checking accounts, and offer an easy way to support the school district while showing your Red Raider pride.

"Our community is incredibly important to us, and we are thrilled to see how the Red Raiders debit card program is directly benefiting Sidney Public Schools," said Clint Norman, President of the Sidney Branch of Security First Bank.

Through the program, Security First donates $5 for every Red Raider Affinity Debit card produced. The funds donated help enrich a variety of programs and opportunities within the Sidney Public School District. This year, the donation will go towards the lunch program to help students purchase lunches when needed.

Sidney Superintendent of Schools Andrew Farber attended the donation ceremony and was very pleased with the help Security First Bank was providing the school district.

"With budget restrictions and the challenging financial situation we are all currently experiencing, this donation will really help students in need be able to have a good lunch and focus on their schoolwork. It's great to have such a generous community partner support our school system," said Farber.
