Shell Yeah! Elks Fundraiser Has Renovation Fundraiser Kickin-it Cajun Style

The Sidney Elks Lodge #1894 has been serving legendary meals since opening its doors in 1930, and Saturday, September 28, 2024 was no exception. The fundraiser dinner consisting of the standard Cajun Boil fare including crab legs, shrimp, crawfish, andouille sausage, potatoes and corn with a beer biscuit and homemade cheesecake to round out the meal, was served to 62 people, all of whom left with full bellies and smiles on their faces.

Approximately $2500 was raised for the Elks historic building renovation project, and will specifically go towards the renovation and repair of the front bathrooms.

Located at 1040 Jackson Street in Sidney, the Lodge is open for its Wednesday night specials or special community events such as the crawfish boil, and is one of the area's favorite historical gems.

The next fundraiser dinner promises to be nuts as Elks members will serve up Rocky Mountain Oysters on Wednesday, November 16th.
