SIDNEY – Patrick Connor, the face behind Fantastick Patrick: the One Man Variety Show, will bring his entertaining antics to the Sidney High School Performing Arts Center at 7 p.m. on Saturday, October 12th. Connor's unique blend of comedy, awe-inspiring circus tricks, and live music is family-friendly and great for any age group that likes to have fun.
The Fantastick Patrick show is fast-paced and full of variety. It includes everything from juggling fire, swords, and balls, to riding a giant unicycle, performing yo-yo tricks, plate spinning, and free-balancing massive objects on his face. Connor loves performing and is known for his hilarity and crowd interaction, which keeps the audience fully engaged, enrapturing even the smallest children while providing laughs for the adults.
Connor attended circus camp when he was 10 years old. "That's where I learned to do stunts like juggling and riding a unicycle, which changed everything for me. I absolutely loved it!" exclaims Connor. Bringing people joy is his goal. "We have so much going on in the world, it's nice to be able to provide an hour or so of fun," says Connor. "If I can make even one person feel happier after seeing my show, maybe that person will treat the next person they interact with a little better, and I will have made a difference."
Connor presents over 200 shows annually, performing regularly for Carnival Cruises and entertaining at major corporate events and venues like Facebook, Old Navy, Walmart, the Pasadena Rose Bowl, and Dodger Stadium. He has also worked in television and film, appearing in an episode of the Netflix series "100 Humans," at the 2019 Emmy Awards, and currently in a national Hilton commercial.
The High Plains Arts Council is bringing Fantastick Patrick: The One Man Variety Show to Sidney as part of their 38th season. Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for seniors, $5 for students, and children under five are free. Tickets will be available at the door.
