GERING--It was a beautiful day to hit the links, and the Sidney Lady Raider golf team hit 'em well on Monday, September 16, with both JV and Varsity teams earning third place in the competitive Invitational.
Jordan DeNovellis led the Lady Raider team with a round of 92 to earn her seventh place individually. Claire Jordan did not have her best day, but still shot a 96, good enough for 11th place overall. She was followed in 12th place by Josette McConnell with a round of 97, and Aubrey Campbell in 18th place with a round of 101. Cali Haas shot a 102 to earn her 20th place on the individual scoreboard. All of the Lady Raiders varsity golfers had a top-20 finish, and their team score of 386 put them just behind second-place Scottsbluff at 380 and first-place Chadron at 377.
For the Junior Varsity, Eden Jordan led the way with a round of 111, good enough for sixth place. She was followed by Lia Capriotti in eighth place with a 115, Kat Jallen in 10th with a 121, Elinor Kokjer in 12th with a 124, and Jessica Stokes in 17th with a 134.
