Norma was born on May 16, 1939 to Marshall and Lillian (Frick) Frickey. After graduation, she married Bob Hecht and they made their home north of Broadwater on the family farm and ranch. To make ends meet after having 3 children, she took on a job in Bridgeport as a telephone operator where she befriended every co-worker. She worked there until the office closed because of automation.
She then devoted her time to being a good wife and mother. She very much enjoyed cooking for the family. Trying old recipes and new from cookbooks. She always made people happy with her desserts. Krautburgers were an 11 on a scale of 1 to 10.
Norma was always there to help on the farm, whether be chasing cows or giving someone a ride to the field.
She will be greatly missed by family and her wonderful friends.
Till we meet again!
