SIDNEY--On Thursday, August 15, the Cheyenne County Chamber of Commerce held a Social Hour event at Safe at Home in Downtown Sidney. Safe at Home is a Home Care and Companionship Agency that provides non-medical assistance to clients that need help with housekeeping, meal preparation, errand services and other tasks that clients can no longer accomplish themselves. The goal is to let elderly or medically-challenged individuals continue to live in their own homes while providing them comprehensive home care and companionship services. Safe at Home is one of the success stories in the Sidney area over the past few years, quickly expanding its services and number of employees while providing a much-needed service to the community.
New Chamber of Commerce Director Joe McCarn helped host the event, which had Boss Brewery in attendance providing tap beer for the adults who came to the event. It was a chance to show off Safe at Home's new facility, fresh off renovations that have given the space a new look and feel. A mixture of traditional styling with modern touches gave the spacious facility a familiar yet modern feel.
Throughout the afternoon, business owners and other interested parties came through the space to enjoy the facility, have a drink and talk about the goings on in the Sidney area. The Social Hours will continue with McCarn at the helm, and each event gives the Sidney and Cheyenne County business community a chance to mingle and talk about issues that affect commerce in the western Nebraska region.
