Bulldogs Prepare for Season with Three-Way Scrimmage; Otis, Prairie Visit Peetz Saturday for Tune-Up

PEETZ--On Saturday, August 24, the Peetz Bulldogs hosted the Prairie Mustangs and Otis Bulldogs for a three-way scrimmage. Originally scheduled for 10 a.m., Friday night's rains caused the starting time to be moved back to 1 p.m. The change in time had the field drier and less prone to damage, but the teams then had to deal with 97-degree heat and very little wind.

A good crowd from Otis and Prarie joined the Peetz faithful in watching the final preparations before the start of the season. The Peetz boys looked good on offense, with the running game able to hit the edges and gain big yards, while the receivers did a great job getting open and reeling in catches.

The Bulldogs are coming off a successful 7-and-3 finish to last year's season, and open the year hosting the Potter-Dix Coyotes on Thursday, August 29. Game time is scheduled for 6 p.m.
