TEN COMMANDMENTS FOR LEADERS
1. People are illogical, unreasonable and self-centered.
Love them anyway.
2. If you do good, people will accuse you of ulterior motives.
Do good anyway.
3. If you are successful, you will win false friends and true enemies. Succeed anyway.
4. The good you do today may well be forgotten tomorrow. Do good anyway.
5. Honesty and frankness make you vulnerable.
Be honest and frank anyway.
6. The biggest people with the biggest ideas can be shot down by the smallest people with the smallest ideas.
Think big anyway.
7. People favor underdogs but follow only "Top Dogs". Choose your battles. Fight for a few underdogs anyway.
8. What you spend years building may be destroyed overnight.
Build anyway.
9. People need help but may attack you whether you help them or not.
Help them anyway.
10. When you give the world the best you have, you may be kicked in the teeth.
Give your very best anyway.
Leadership starts with humility; placing oneself under the mighty hand of God James 4:7. Good followers become good leaders. Obeying Jesus' command to love others as He loved, and loves, each of us. He delights to see our selflessness as our souls (thoughts and emotions) prosper by walking in health and truth. III John 2-4
Choosing leaders this election year highlights the spiritual battle between Bible truth and Man's will to be his own governor. It blinks, before us, in brightly colored neon lights "God, Darwin, Marx, My Way". CHOOSE! Proverbs repeatedly notes the folly of a man right in his own eyes and mind. God, and God alone, is He Who is able to save us from ourselves by sending Jesus Who bought us back from Satan's slavery.
"Watch, therefore! Let us not sleep as others do but let us be sober-minded as children of the Light, putting on the breastplate of righteousness and God's Love. II Thessalonians 5:6-8
