Tyler Daniel Behm

Tyler Daniel Behm passed away on the evening of June 19th, 2024, surrounded by some of those dearest to him, doing something he loved.

Tyler was born on October 12, 1989 in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. He was the first child to Timothy and Christine (Vitt) Behm. Tyler grew up in North Platte, Nebraska and spent his childhood developing his love of the outdoors. He attended the University of Nebraska in Lincoln, and moved back to North Platte shortly after meeting the love of his life, Carrie Egging. After a few years in their home in North Platte, Tyler and Carrie packed up to follow their dreams to Montana and found the next best thing to Heaven.

Tyler spent his time hunting, fishing, and exploring Montana the way God intended, though he maybe didn't account for the many detours along the way. In addition to his time exploring, Tyler was an electrician and a skilled handyman, and truly enjoyed helping the people of West Yellowstone with any project, no matter how big or small. For Tyler, there was no mountain too tall to be hiked, no distance too far to explore, no game that couldn't be tracked, and no fish too big to be reeled in.

His passing places a hole in our hearts that can never be filled, but one that he would want us to fill with love, laughter, and of course plenty of adventures in the outdoors.

Tyler is survived by the love of his life, Carrie; his parents Timothy and Christine; his siblings Nicole (Kyle) and Matt; his grandfathers Robert Vitt and Joe Behm; Carrie's parents Cindi and Ted; Carrie's grandparents Bill and Joanne Boon; Carrie's siblings Christopher (Emily), Luke (Jessica) and Elizabeth (Clay); and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and great friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Rose Behm and Mary Jane Vitt. Tyler was an amazing son, loving partner, true friend, and best brother. He was always there for those who needed him, exactly when they needed it. He was driven, hardworking, and would give the shirt off his back to anyone (even if it were a bit holey). While many people have a bucket list, Tyler lived his bucket list every single day of his life. He did what made him happy, and while his time here was too short, he experienced more than most of us will in our entire lives. We will miss him.

A Celebration of life was held on June 28, 2024, in West Yellowstone, MT. A Funeral Mass was held on July 13, 2024 in North Platte, NE, with interment at Floral Lawn Cemetery in North Platte. In lieu of flowers, donations in Tyler's honor may be made to a memorial.
