HEMINGFORD--Sidney's Stingray Swimming Team sent nearly forty swimmers to compete in Hemingford on Saturday, June 29, and 37 of the swimmers were able to achieve at least one personal best time at the end of the competition.
Individual records were set by Pace Lewis in the 9-10 year-old 25-yard Free Style event with a time of 17.46 seconds. Sam Revell set an individual record in the 25-yard Backstroke at 22.03 seconds, and Dru Wiemer in the 15-18 year-old 200-yard Individual Medley at 2:58.19 and 15-18 year-old 400-yard Free Style at 5:54.54. Reagan Nesbitt established a new team record with a 50-yard Butterfly time of 32.34.
One relay consisting of Lucas Booe, Dru Wiemer, Reagan Nesbitt, and Trey Weeda set the meet record for the 15-18 year-old 200 yard Medley Relay with a time of 2:09.99. The Stingray Swimmers are ready and eager to compete next week, Saturday, July 6, in the Medal Meet, which is the last meet of the season, in Torrington, Wyo.
