Delta Dawn When the Light Comes On: Week 27

The people thought of stoning David. He called for the Ephod, encouraged himself in the Lord and recovered all." I Samuel 30:6. The Apostle Paul says this: "Faith is the substance of things hoped for, for he who comes to God must believe that He is God and that He is the rewarder of a diligent seeker." Hebrews 11:1-6

Jesus said, Mathew 6:24, 33, "You cannot serve God and Mammon, but seek first, the Kingdom of God and all these things will be given (added) unto you."

Benjamin Franklin, age 81, called the Continental Congress to pray, emphasizing Psalm 127:1: "Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain for those who build it. Unless the Lord guards the city, the watchman stays awake in vain." This word 'vain' means, empty, fruitless, without success. I Corinthians 13 concludes, "without Him we can do nothing". Father God, Jesus, His Son and Holy Spirit undergird us with an unseen force.

Founders of the United States called the words of the Bible "Common Sense". They lived what the Bible taught. John Adams, 2nd President, and Abigail, had six children they watchfully nurtured in Biblical truth. John died July 4,1826, the same day as Thomas Jefferson, our 3rd President. Each man was thinking his friend still lived. We were fifty years established.

John Quincy Adams read the Bible through by age 4, drilled with Continental Army troops at age 8 and became his father's personal Presidential secretary at age 10. Congress sent him, traveling alone at age 14, as an ambassador to Russia. Our 6th President, this 'Abolitionist Hound', constantly called for an end to slavery. Our 7th President, Andrew Jackson, had Congress censor Adams on slavery issues while serving after his presidency, for 17 years as a Massachusetts Representative. He died on the Chamber floor, February 23, 1848. Adam's protégé Abraham Lincoln (16th President) who heard and saw it all, put an end to U.S. slavery January 1. 1863. Texas declared it, June 19, 1865.

Beloved Patriots, Christians, we are at a time for the Lord to build His house in us. Psalm 121:1 assures help comes from the Lord Who created Heaven and Earth! Shall we, then, consider boisterous voices against the Lord? Be wise. CHOOSE LIFE!

Founding Pastors often wore military attire under their vestures. This Black Robed Regiment was most feared by Britain because they sounded the alarm and called Patriots to arms. God's Army of the Meek, you and me, hear Him command, "Do not fear, for those who are with us are greater than those [against us]" II Kings 6:17. "If God be for us, who can be against us?" Romans 8:31

Let us lay aside differences of doctrine and unite in faith as commanded, so that we eliminate the enemy and recover all! "For faith is the substance, or title deed to, things hoped for." Plus, angels are charged to keep us in all our ways. Hebrews 1:14. We have great power in agreement with God's unfailing covenant! "For whatever you bind on earth is bound in Heaven and whatever you loose, is loosed in Heaven. If two of you agree, concerning anything you ask, it will be done for them by My Father, for where two or three are agreed in My Name, there I am in your midst." Matthew 18:18-20.
