Keep Sidney Beautiful and Pedalers Corner Host First Outdoor Open Mic of Summer

Community shows up to support come rain or shine

SIDNEY – Downtown was filled with local talent as dozens gathered together Friday, June 28th for Keep Sidney Beautiful's first ever outdoor Open Mic Night at Pedalers Corner, 840 9th Avenue. The surroundings served as a small amphitheater for the evening. Featuring a showcase of sounds and sights, the evening wove a colorful tapestry of entertainment.

A collection of spoken word, original and covered songs, Broadway show tunes and even fancy dance moves graced the pavement just outside of Pedalers front door. On site for the evening were Price Cream Co. and Aster's Foods serving up their delicacies – delicious homemade frozen confections and smoked brisket or pulled pork street tacos.

A little Summer storm couldn't dull the crowd, a bit of precipitation and moody clouds only added to the background of the evening.

Keep Sidney Beautiful once again thanked everyone in attendance for their support and to the performers for their expression of talents. KSB was also quick to note an obvious need for an Open Mic Night committee as the event grows more popular.
