Albert A. Schivelbein, age 93, of Potter, NE, passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at the VA Hospital in Cheyenne, WY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Sidney, NE with Father C.P. Varghese officiating. Inurnment with Military Honors will follow at 1:30 P.M. at the Riverside Cemetery in Sterling, CO. Services will be livestreamed on the Gehrig-Stitt Chapel Facebook page and recorded for later viewing on our website.
Friends may stop at the Gehrig-Stitt Chapel on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 from 1-6:00 P.M. No family will be present. Cards and memorials may be sent in care of Cathy Northrup, 2343 Linden St, Sidney, NE 69162.

Albert was born on February 18, 1931 in Atwood, CO to Phillip and Eva Schivelbein. Albert served in the United States Navy from 1949 to 1952. He also served as a firefighter in Sterling, CO, a truckdriver for Metal Craft Welding in Denver, CO, and a grounds and maintenance keeper for the City of Denver.
They owned and operated D&D Cleaners in Denver, CO. On February 16, 1962, he married Sarah Ann Runnels in Castle Rock, CO
His survivors include his children Cathy Northrup of Sidney, NE, Vickie and Andy Comins of Englewood, CO, Steve and Pat Allen of Auburn, CA, Richard and Arlyce Hoschouer of Sidney, NE, Louise Schivelbein of Potter, NE, Marcy and Joe Tadeo of Denver, CO, daughter-in-law Wendy Hoschouer of Engelwood, CO, 17 grandchildren and numerous great and great, great grandchildren, sisters-in-law Vivian Monheiser of CO and Joan Kuehl of OK.
Albert was preceded in death by his wife Sarah, his son Bob and great-grandson Tyler.
