CHAPPELL - A beautiful day with little wind set the stage for the D9 District Meet at Creek Valley High School on May 8, and it was the Leyton Lady Warriors who came out as the big winners out of the Cheyenne County schools that competed.
Leyton's Lady Warrior squad had turned in great performances all season, and they peaked on May 8 at the District Meet, scoring 88 points and taking first place over second place Arthur County with 69 points and third place South Platte with 68 points.
