Delta Dawn When the Light Comes On: Week 20

"Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and it will be opened to you." Matthew 7:7 The understood premise of this passage from Jesus' sermon on the Mount of Olives is: 'it' must be according to God's Word. Father is eager to grant the desires of our hearts (Psalm 37:4). The one condition is to 'delight oneself in the Lord'.

Also, we cannot err in thinking He will bless whatever plan we come up with. This did not work for Adam or countless kings. "My Way" often rules. History records great wealth abused and misused in the hands of the third and fourth generations. Not a 'generational curse', but a generational dishonor of God.

You may recall that Aladdin rubbed a mystical lamp, and out came the genie to grant his wish. This was so successful for Aladdin, that the sorcerer steals the lamp back, but Aladdin finds a fairy to help him win, at last.

What is your dream or desire? ASK the Lord to help you grow into it and receive it in His timing. This will be answered immediately! If you don't know the desires of your heart. Ask Father: "Is this direction or distraction?" Allow Him to begin a work in you which cannot fail. Philippians 1:6

Begin to SEEK. Who knows how such a dream might work? Find out! Follow their acquired knowledge, add God's wisdom; find inspirational teaching on CD or DVD and push 'play' while you make ready for the day, drive to work, or sleep through the night. Pray in tongues as you go about daily duties. You will awaken with revelation of the next daring step to take.

Now, KNOCK. Doors will open to grow you into places you may not relish at the time, but obedience is, still, the best avenue to success. Seeking finds something or someone you did not know you needed. This, too, is part of your growth so you are ready when God calls for the next step. So, ask again, seek again and knock again. He will grant you three more 'wishes'.

Countless examples of this process write Biblical history and the history of nations. Aladdin's story is from France. A film, while only about 18 minutes long, used special effects for movies not seen before. Walt Disney found the techniques and told Aladdin's story, differently, with Mickey Mouse as the Wizard, in Fantasia. This movie pioneered animation with God in every frame! Children were sparked to 'wish upon a star' and become a dreamer of dreams. God withholds nothing useful, but uses you to perfect all concerns you! Psalm 138:8

"Open to me the gates (doors) of righteousness and I will go through them! This (ask, seek, knock) is a gate of the Lord through which the righteous shall enter. I praise You, for You answered me and became my deliverance, prosperity, leader, teacher, guide and the rock of my salvation, This is the Lord's doing and marvelous in my eyes! This is the day the Lord has made! I will rejoice and be glad in it!" Psalm 118:19-24
