Michael Gipfert

Michael Gipfert, 31, passed away from kidney disease and heart failure, at home in Mechanicsville, Iowa, on Thursday, May 9, 2024. No services are planned. The family is being cared for by Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Mount Vernon, Iowa

Michael was born January 24, 1993, in Sidney, Nebraska, son to Jana Gipfert. Michael graduated from Sidney High School in 2011. Michael was known to be a homebody; he enjoyed reading, longboarding, and playing video games, especially Call of Duty Zombies and Runescape.

He is survived by his mother, Jana Gipfert; step-sister, Keli; aunts and uncles, Donna Gipfert, Bill (Lena) Gipfert, Kenny (Janet) Gipfert, Dean (Nancy) Gipfert, Jan (Christine) Gipfert, Christine (Jerry) Gipfert, Marilyn Judd, and Caroline Harvey; best friends, Sean Neal and Billy Uhrig; and dog, Tequila.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ken(May) Gipfert; aunts and uncles, Charles Gipfert, Diane Nemeyer, Lucille Florke, Chuck Harvey, Gary Judd, Doyle Gipfert, and Lynn Gipfert; and cousin, Kent Gipfert.
