CHAPPELL--Creek Valley High School senior Kennedy Bocock signed a commitment letter to attend Wayne State University and be a member of the Cheer Team. Bocock, a standout on the golf team and Cheer Squad, plans on studying Criminal Justice and is on scholarship at the university.
"I really liked the campus and the Criminal Justice program here. They have a mock-up house that is used to teach Criminal Justice majors how to locate and handle evidence and other things. It's real hands-on type experience you get while working towards your degree."
"I wanted to be a veterinary tech, but over the last few years my interests changed and now I want to study Criminal Justice," she said.
Bocock was joined in the signing ceremony by friends, coaches, family members and a big group of students who came out to congratulate her and wish her well on her next life chapter.
