Janice Nadine Meyer Walz, 86 of Sterling passed away Saturday, April 27, 2024, at Sterling Health & Rehab Center. Per Janice's request, cremation will take place and no services will be held.
Janice was born April 18, 1938, in Sidney, Nebraska to Esther J. Schilz and Richard William "Dick" Meyer. She graduated from Peetz High School in 1956 and attended Kelsy-Jenny Business College in San Diego, California and graduated with honors in 1976.
Janice moved to Virginia Beach, Virginia and took classes to receive a real estate license and sold houses. After 2 years of being licensed, she sat for the Real Estate Brokers license and received it. She became part owner of a real estate company, Professional Realty Co., and remained in the profession for 21 years, retiring and moving back to Peetz in 1993.
She is preceded in death by her parents and nephew Bryon Segelke.
Janice is survived by her son, Richard Eugene (Mary Lee) Walz of Buxton, North Carolina, her sister Pat J. Segelke, nieces and nephews Lavon Hajak, David Segelke, Greg Segelke and Jolynn Segelke, special friends Jerry Casebolt and Janiene Berry and numerous great nieces and nephews.
