John White, 74, of Sidney passed away early Friday morning, March 15, 2024 at his home.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 21, 2024 at Light Memorial Presbyterian Church in Sidney with Reverend Tom Waddell officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the church in Sidney.
Memorials in John's name can be to the church, Hospice of The Plains, or the Dorwart Cancer Center- Wheelchair Fund.

John William White was born in Sidney on December 24, 1949 to George C. and Alice E. (Roberts) White. He attended Sidney Public Schools and Kearney State College. He was a teacher and coach, worked at the Office of Human Development, drove the bookmobile and worked at Marathon Oil and Holechek Funeral Home before beginning a 30-year career as an insurance agent. He always enjoyed helping his customers.
John was united in marriage to Sandra Spearow on August 14, 1971, and they had one son, Christopher of Sperry, Oklahoma.
He is survived by his wife and son; two grandchildren, Jalon and Braylee Tiger of Oklahoma; and two sisters, Judy Storer and Mary Keelan of Texas.
John was preceded in death by his parents.
