Three area teams come out despite weather in support of Potter Legion Hall Fundraiser
On Sunday, three teams braved the weather to participate in Potter's fourth Puzzle Mania Tournament, once again held at Hangar 39 at Chuckaboo Station in Potter, NE .
The winning team, Piece Control, consisted of Michael Hausmann and Elaine Shang who completed their puzzle in 1 hour, 14 minutes, and one-second.
Drew and Teran Enevoldsen, owners of Chuckaboo Station and Hangar 39, held the first Potter Puzzlemania event on December 10, 2023, with 18 puzzle enthusiasts participating. With 100% of the profits going directly towards restoring the American Legion Hall in Potter, $400 was raised. Due to severe structural issues, the amount needed to restore this historic gem is a whopping $800,000. Undaunted, the Enevoldsens have spent countless hours searching for grants, and as most grants are "matching," every single dollar raised by the local community helps enormously. To date, Puzzle Mania has raised over $1200 from puzzle entries and donations.
The next tournament will be on Sunday, April 28 and will be the last of the season. To register for this tournament, or to donate to the Potter Legion Hall Restoration Project, please contact Drew Enevoldsen at 308-207-5908 or the Village of Potter at 308-879-4332
