Local Extension Office Fills Vacancy

The Cheyenne County Extension Office has a new Manager and 4-H Aide, Victoria Edwards of Chappell Nebraska has officially filled the position. Edwards has deep roots in 4-H, a former grand champion showman, she's worked with livestock since was only 4 years old. The hard work and perseverance taught her valuable life and character skills that she continues to show into adulthood, "4-H shows you what working hard means and how rewarding it can be," Edwards had to say.

Edwards grew up on a hog and cattle farm in Missouri and moved to the area with her spouse, Tucker, and their 2 dogs in March of last year. She is looking forward to adding a youthful spin bridging the gap between her new ideas and the traditions of old, her greatest passion is helping future generations establish their own love for 4-H and keeping it alive. "I love Dolly Parton's quote, 'you'll never do a whole lot unless you're brave enough to try,' 4-H allows you to do just that, get out there and try," Edwards said.

The Extension Office is located at 920 Jackson St and is open from 8am – 5pm every weekday, to contact the office the phone number is: 308-254-4455.
