Fair Board Solidifiying Event Schedule

Continuing Work on 2024 Fair is Main Objective

SIDNEY--The Cheyenne County Fair Board met for their regular meeting on February 12 at the Cheyenne County Fair Grounds, and plans for the upcoming 2024 Fair were discussed, and certain details were finalized with information ready to be released to the public.

The Demolition Derby event was solidified, with some questions still remaining about the purse amounts for the events. There are still some details to be worked out concerning the number of drivers and events, so final details will be made public when the Fair Board has all of the information confirmed.

After discussing sound and lighting and stage details, the board decided to accept a bid from Sure Sound & Lighting. The bid was for $21,000 for two days and includes set up and break down. The other bids the board considered were higher in price, had stipulations about the size and type of stage used...
