SIDNEY – An audition will be held for the Missoula Children’s Theatre (MCT) production of Peter and Wendy at the Sidney High School from 3:45 to 5:45 on Monday, January 29th. Those auditioning should arrive on time and plan to stay for the full two hours. Some of the cast members will be asked to stay for a rehearsal immediately following the audition.
Among the roles to be cast are Peter, his Shadow, Tinker Bell, and the Lost Boys; Wendy and her brothers, John and Michael; their parents Mr. and Mrs. Darling with their faithful friends Nana and Liza; Captain Hook and his Pirate Crew along with the Crocodile; Tiger Lily, the band of Neverlanders and Neverland Creatures; and, carrying them to Neverland, a group of Stormy Clouds. Students in grades K thru 12 are encouraged to audition. No advance preparation is necessary. Assistant Directors will also be cast to aid in rehearsals throughout the week and to take on essential backstage responsibilities.
The Missoula Children’s Theatre touring productions are complete with costumes, scenery, props, and makeup. MCT Tour Actor/Directors will conduct rehearsals throughout the week and cast members must be available for all assigned rehearsals.
Peter and Wendy will be presented at the Sidney High School Performing Arts Center in a special student matinee performance at 9 am on Friday, February 2nd, and in a public evening performance at 7 pm on Saturday, February 3rd.
