You may have seen the two new Ford Pickups purchased by the Sidney Police Department last year driving around town, as they have finally arrived after nearly a year of delays. Supply chain disruptions and other issues had delayed the delivery of the two new vehicles, but they are now here in Sidney and on patrol. Sidney Police Chief Joe Aikens stopped by the Sun-Telegraph office on Tuesday, and we were able to get a few photos of one of the new pickups. Aikens said, "These are really nice, well-built and fully equipped. These two vehicles should last us a long time and be of great use. The only thing we need to add are running boards to help someone like me that has a knee injury to get in and out a little easier."
Aikens added that two more vehicles are on order, and they should not take as long to be delivered.
