"Then God said, let there be lights in the firmament of Heaven to divide day from night, let them be for signs and seasons, for days and years. Then, God made two great lights, the greater light to rule the day and the lesser light to rule the night, and He made stars, also. God saw it was good so the evening and the morning were the fourth day." Genesis 1:14-19
Nine times in history, blood moons fell on Jewish feast days, moedim (mo-ed-eem, plural in Hebrew). Blood moons came at Passover and Sukkot 2014 and also 2015. Interestingly, the final Blood Moon rested, at sunset, over Jerusalem. Passover celebrates God's deliverance of Israel, after 400 years of Egyptian slavery. Sukkot (Feast of Tabernacles) is when Jewish families create and live in tents commemorating their odyssey from Egypt to the promised land. Jesus was born in Bethlehem according to this God ordained 'moed'' or holy feasting time.
A complete solar eclipse occurred over all America on August 21, 2017 for the first time since 1918 (99 years). It traveled west to east with its epicenter in Lewellen, Nebraska. People came from all over the world just to sing, in pastures and on highways, "How Great Thou Art" and other praises to God.
The Hebraic number ninety denotes humility. Nine denotes divine completion or 'judgement', a good thing. Going to my garden to choose a rose for my best friend, I would judge, by knowledge of the receiver, the best color, freshness, bloom size, and length of stem. I would, then, remove all thorns before presenting the one judged best. Abraham was 99 when the promised child, Isaac, was born. Jesus left 99 faithful souls to seek the lost one. Matthew 18:12-14
The Jewish calendar has 12 months changing with the phases of the moon. There are, usually, 15 days when the moon waxes (gets bigger) to a full moon and 14 days it wanes (gets smaller) to a new moon. Phases were detected by 'watchers' especially for the Sabbath, when candles were lit just 18 minutes before sundown; a call to worship. Blood moons can only occur during a full moon.
Most of the western world uses a solar Gregorian calendar that has 365 days. 2024 has 29 days in February and is, also, a leap year in Hebrew, adding a Second month of Adar for a total of 383 days. Passover arrives in Israel 28 days after Easter celebrations in the U.S. because of calendar differences.
Jews cite 5784 as a year of restitution, which will open doors of opportunity. 5783 declared things "to be exposed and laid bare" particularly in government. This is at work. Now, the Host of Heaven is watching and listening for you! Take firm grip on His Promises! Resolve to voice your choice for Jesus, your nation and your family, in that order, for 2024. Jesus firmly reminds, "Whatever I tell you in the dark, speak in the light; what you hear in the Spirit preach on housetops." Matthew 10:27 Blessings in the New Year! Next Week: Fear-B-Gone
