Delta Dawn When the Light Comes On: Week 46

"Take heed that you do not do your charitable deeds before men to be seen by them. Otherwise, you have no reward. But, when you do a charitable deed, do not let the left (brain) know what the right (brain) is doing." Matthew 6:1-3 That is, make up your mind to do right. Reflect the just, right character of God placed in the creative side of your brain. The left brain is society based and self-seeking.

The left brain is often referred to as 'soulish'. The Apostle Paul called it 'fleshly desire'. As a three-part person, spirit, soul and body, the body goes along for the ride. When spirit and soul agree, a right, just thing reflects the love of God. When soul and body agree, food and sleep rule though circumstances requires mental alertness. "A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands; so shall poverty come like a prowler and need like an armed man." Proverbs 24: 33, 34. 

A vision requires right brain dominion. Left thinking 'What about me?' leads to persecution tactics based on greed. The time came for us to have a new car. We had diligently sown financial seed for a debt-free vehicle that would fulfill the needs of the ministry. We found just the right automobile at a local dealership. It was the perfect color with 51 actual miles on the speedometer. Brand new, but last year's model. God had hidden this car for us and we knew it. However, when we spoke of the car to our congregation, their consensus was that our driving a NEW car would spur the proverb, "All preachers want is 'my money'". 

The salesman came to affirm a sale, but we did not have ready cash, yet, so I released my desire for that beautiful auto. I said, "Find a young family, maybe with a new baby, who needs such a vehicle." When I asked the Lord about this decision, He said, "A moot point. I am legally bound to honor your choice in the matter." Right, just and truly God. Genesis 1:26-28

Four years and four months later, we were given the perfect auto! It cost four times as much as the first and had many more gadgets to learn about. I asked the Lord, "Is used better?" He was emphatic. "I am Lord of Hosts! I demand a fully equipped vehicle for a fully equipped ministry. Insignia represents Gabriel, Angel of Prophecy, Micheal, Angel of Warfare and Christ, My Son!" I sang, "You are awesome in this place, Mighty God! You are worthy of praise, Abba Father!"

He has given you a vision. Listen no more to men on the fleshly left! Decide to do it; find Scripture to support you. Become a steward of wealth. Sow financial seed into a like vision. Car seed becomes cars. House seed becomes houses. Increase seed grows best in fertile, spiritual soil: a ministry that teaches and does tithing and giving regularly. Watch God breathe on prompt-to-do-it, faithful, diligent seekers who just want to do right.
