High Plains #278 Pheasants Forever: Bringing Wildlife and Tradition to a New Generation.

Pheasants Forever High Plains Chapter #278 will be holding its Annual Youth Hunt on Saturday, October 21, 2023, meeting at the Sidney Shooting Park at 8am.

The event is open for hunters ages 12-15 who have successfully completed the required hunter safety course as of October 20, 2023.

All participants will have the opportunity to harvest a pheasant. The hunts will take place in various fields within a five-mile radius of the shooting range that have been generously donated by local land owners.

There is no cost to any Youth Hunt participant as the hunt is supported by the Pheasants Forever annual banquet held each year in March.

This year, in memory of Ron Lee Gusman, a longtime PF member who passed away last year, they will be giving away a shotgun and a lifetime hunting permit in his honor.
