POTTER--The young Potter-Dix Lady Coyote Volleyball team is starting to gel, and after grabbing a few wins against struggling teams, got a big win Friday night against a strong Sioux County team in Potter.
The Lady Coyotes started with a strong first set, outpacing the Lady Warriors and coming away with a 25-to-18 win. The momentum continued in the second set and the Lady Coyotes poured it on, dispatching the Lady Warriors 25-to-12. The Sioux County squad regrouped and fought hard in the third set, but Potter-Dix was able to hang on and put together the last string of points to take a 25-to-22 third set victory, for a 3-to-0 match win.
Senior Madison Williamson led the offense with seven kills in the match and had six ace serves, and junior Jaclyn Worth had 13 assists in the victory. The Lady Coyotes were scheduled to travel to Paxton for tournament action against the host Lady Wildcats, Wallace and Wauneta-Palisade teams.
