Sidney and Greater Area Fund and Local Businesses Donate to Cool Kids Club Program

SIDNEY - The Sidney and Greater Area Fund (SAGA) is a newly formed community affiliated fund under the Nebraska Community Foundation serving Sidney and Surrounding Areas. This fund is dedicated to improving and maintaining long-term viability within our area communities.

SAGA made their first grant to Cool Kids Club and their Summer Program. SAGA, local business matches and the Sidney Donor Advised Fund granted more than $4,000 to the program. The granted funds were used to assist with summer program costs for the pool and the movies and any unused funds will be utilized during the 2023 - 2024 school year for the after school program.

"Cool Kids Club is an amazing program in the community for kids and SAGA was happy to make a donation to make sure all the kids are able to enjoy the pool, movies and enhance the after school program for the upcoming school year." said Melissa Norgard chairperson of SAGA Fund.

Kim Larsen, Cool Kids Club Director said "We were thrilled to receive funds to allow kids who wouldn't be able to enjoy the pool and movies the opportunity to do so. It will also provide new opportunities in the 2023 - 2024 after school program next year."
