Coffee, ice cream and pizza – some of the sweet treats choosing to make Sidney their home
SIDNEY – The Sun-Telegraph confirmed with Inspired Brands, the parent company for Dunkin Donuts and Baskin Robbins, that a new sweet sensation will soon sweep Sidney. The newspaper also confirmed with Domino's that a new pizza restaurant could be ready to open by spring of next year.
Along Old Post Road, a building with the familiar east coast Dunkin Donuts sign and its accompanying sister industry sign for Baskin Robbins is already nearly complete after beginning construction earlier this year.
The Sun-Telegraph reached out to Inspired Brands to get the scoop on when residents could stop in for an icy treat as summer temperatures continue to surge.
According to the company's marketing partner and Public Relations Coordinator, the Sidney Dunkin Donuts and Baskin Robbins could open it's doors sooner, rather than later. However, the local team was not immediately available for an interview and the Sun-Telegraph has scheduled a future date to discuss details with the marketing partner and local team.
Pizza night will be back in full swing in Sidney, starting sometime in early spring of next year. Dominos is currently accepting applications for its new location in Sidney, still yet to be determined by Dominos Headquarters and local team.
The Sun-Telegraph reached out to the local authorities for more information regarding this location, however, at this time, the city reported Domino's has not yet filed for any zoning or permit requests, but knew the pizzeria is interested in a number of locations. The city and county did not have additional information at this time. The local team was unavailable for an interview, as the franchise owner lives in Chicago, however, has agreed to discuss details with the Sun-Telegraph once more details are available. A Facebook post from the franchise owner in local community groups says he expects to open the Sidney Dominos sometime in the early spring.
The Sun-Telegraph will provide an updated status to both of these establishments once more is known in a future edition.
