Shawn M. Rivera, age 51, formerly of Sidney, passed away in Denver, CO on Friday, April 14, 2023. No formal services are planned at this time.

Shawn attended school at the Kearny Nebraska Alfalfa Country School from preschool thru the 2nd grade. He then finished his school years in Sidney NE. Shortly thereafter he moved to Florida for several years before returning to Sidney. He spent his last 10 years in the Denver, CO area.
Shawn had a passion for fishing, playing the guitar. He also and had a gift for drawing.
Survivors include his son Ian M. Rivera and daughter Dabreya R. Egging, brother Joseph A. Luxa, mother, Betty R. Egging and husband Don Egging. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by son Shawn M. Rivera Junior and Stepfather Stephen G. Luxa.
