Allen L. Bayne, age 75 of Chappell, NE passed away in Scottsbluff, NE on Friday, June 16, 2023.
Graveside services will be on Saturday, July 1, 2023 at 10:30 A.M. with Pastor Gary Rahe officiating in the Greenwood Cemetery in Sidney, NE. Cremation has been held. Allen Lee Bayne was born March 10, 1948 to Wayne and Geraldine Bayne. After graduation from high school, he attended Emily Griffin School of Culinary Arts in Denver, CO. Allen lived in Oregon for a short time before moving to Nebraska. As a young lad he enjoyed the outdoor life with birds, butterflies and nature in general. He enjoyed water skiing on the weekends at the Lake Jumbo with friends.
He enjoyed following his nieces and nephew's sports activities. Allen was a well-rounded person and had a wide-spread interest in the working force. He went south for wheat harvest and worked at Disneyland in California as desk clerk, which he enjoyed and always talked about years afterwards. He also worked at Cabela's in Sidney. He and his mom wintered in Apache Junction and later traveled in their motor home to numerous states and Canada. After his mother's declining health and passing, he retired to Hill Top until his tragic passing.
He is survived by his brother Ron Bayne and wife Debra of Chappell, NE, sister Linda Chryst and husband Dale of Chappell, NE, and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and great-great nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Geraldine, sister Dianna Bayne, brother Joe Bayne, two nephews and two great nephews.
