The second annual Lynden Annora Memorial Golf Tournament was held at Prairie Ridge Golf Course Saturday morning, and picture-perfect weather greeted the golfers and stayed throughout the course of the event.
Organizer Mark Monheiser created the event to celebrate the memory of his infant daughter who passed away, and raise money for children in Neonatal Intensive Care units. "This is a great way to honor her memory and to raise money for children who really need it. It's difficult to have an infant child in the NICU unit, and any bit of help we can give them goes a long way,' said Monheiser.
The foursomes started teeing-off around 10 a.m. and had a leisurely round of golf with perfect June weather. The event was a complete success, and Monheiser's plan on holding the third annual event next year.
