SIDNEY – Sidney Police Department (SPD) announced it made a second arrest relating to the burglary at Haupt Storage.
In a statement to the the Sidney Sun-Telegraph, SPD Chief Joe Aikens explained the department has been investigating this case since it was reported on May 6.
Earlier this month, SPD arrested Justin Kettle, 24, and charged him with burglary, theft.
“The Sidney Police Department was dispatched to Haupt Storage to investigate a burglary,” Aikens explained. “The reporting party stated the lock to his storage unit had been cut and several items were missing.”
Kettle was charged with a burglary class IIA Felony.
A second, subsequent arrest, on May 20, relating to this burglary was announced last week by SPD.
“The Sidney Police Department took Ms. Pinatelli into custody on a Cheyenne County Warrant,” Aikens stated in a media report to the Sun-Telegraph. “She is being charged with burglary, a class IIA felony for the burglary at Haupt Storage.”
Kettle had an arraignment hearing on May 30, at 8 a.m., at the Cheyenne County Courthouse, where he entered a plea of not guilty. His next scheduled court appearance will be in mid-July.
Pinatelli has not yet been scheduled for an arraignment hearing.
The Sun-Telegraph has requested the arresting documents for this case; SPD says it is still under investigation at this time and that the department is cooperating with the county attorney's office.
The department also announced several other arrests made before the Memorial Day weekend, which will be featured in an upcoming Sun-Telegraph article.
