Bertie Eugene Taylor, age 73, of Casper, WY passed away January 2, 2023 as a result of Agent Orange related cancer at Central Wyoming Hospice, surrounded by his loving family. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at Gehrig-Stitt Chapel in Sidney, NE with Pastor Leon "Bud" Gillespie officiating. Cremation has been held. Inurnment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Sidney. Military honors will be rendered by the Nebraska National Guard Honor Guard and the Sidney American Legion Post #17, VFW Post #610, and the DAV Chapter #40 Honor Guard. Services will be livestreamed on the Gehrig-Stitt Chapel Facebook page and recorded for later viewing on our website.
Friends may stop at the Gehrig-Stitt Chapel on Friday, May 12, 2023 from 1-6:00 P.M. to leave condolences for the family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hunting with Heroes Wyoming.

Bertie was born on April 6, 1949 in Kimball, Nebraska to Chester H. and Mary E. (Addleman) Taylor. Bertie enlisted in the United States Army on May 14, 1969 and served during the Vietnam Conflict until his honorable discharge on November 17, 1970.
Bertie was united in marriage to Karen Sue Benzel of Sidney, NE on August 12, 1972 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Sidney, Nebraska. The couple made their home in Casper, Wyoming.
Bertie is survived by his wife, Karen Taylor, sons Christopher Taylor and Steven (Jessica) Taylor, all of Casper, WY; siblings Terry Taylor, Thomas Taylor, Gary Taylor and Sharon (Taylor) Elsberry.
Bertie was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings Harlan Taylor, Dawn (Taylor) Williams and Alan Taylor.
