Leyton Linksters Fifth At Bridgeport

Leyton's Warrior Boys Golf team competed at the Bridgeport Invitational on April 13, and the team earned a fifth place showing, with an overall score of 397.

Mitchell's team earned top honors with a score of 329, followed by host Bridgeport with a 351. Garden County placed third with a team score of 359. Creek Valley placed ninth as a team with a score of 480.

The individual top finishers were Cael Peters of Mitchell with an outstanding round of 68. Jace Nelson of Gordon Rushville was the runner up, with a round of 79, followed in third place by Jackson Mitchell of Mitchell with a round of 83.

Trenton Rushman led the Leyton boys with a round of 95 and Seth Wilber led the Creek Valley boys with a round of 96. Leyton's Dillon Juelfs shot a 102, Jonathan Kruse shot a 103, and Jaxon Benish shot a 116. Creek Valley's Jaxson Wickham shot a 110, Talon Sweet shot a 113, Trevor Brown shot a 136 and Hunter Isenbart shot a 161.
