Zech Roggasch is in control as he battles during a match at the Gothenburg Duals last Saturday.
Sidney's Red Raider Wrestling team traveled to Gothenburg on Saturday, January 14, to compete at the Gothenburg Duals. In their first round, Sidney faced O'Neill and lost the dual 42-to-27.
Patrick McCartney at 182 lbs, Jeremiah Roggasch at 195 lbs, Landon Hanes at 285 lbs and Zech Roggasch at 160 lbs all won their bouts.
Alliance was able to squeak by Sidney with a 39-to-36 win in their dual. Hanes, Colby Langley at 132 lbs., Roggasch and Matthew Cabbage at 170 lbs all won their matches.
Broken Bow defeated Sidney 64-to-12 in the next dual, with the only non-forfeit win coming from Zech Roggash at 160 lbs.
Minden then defeated Sidney in the Consolation Bracket 45-to-27, with wins coming from Colby Langley and Zech Roggasch.
The Raiders finished the day losing the 7th Place Match to Gothenburg 54-to-27. Langley, Roggasch, Cabbage, McCartney and Hanes all won their bouts.
