Delores M. Kurz, age 93, a lifelong resident of Sidney, passed away at her son, Robert Kurz, Jr.'s home in Sidney on Monday, January 9, 2023. A private family graveside is planned for later in the Spring.

Delores was born in Scottsbluff, NE on October 19, 1929 to her parents John and Millie (Hartwig) Mieninger. She was the fourth of thirteen children. Growing up she lived in many towns in Nebraska.
She graduated from Sidney High School in 1947 and married Robert Kurz on June 5, 1947.
Delores was a devoted mother of five children. She was very talented in sewing and made many beautiful quilts. She loved to bowl and was in a league for many years. She loved to play cards and especially enjoyed when family and friends got together. She was an excellent cook but also worked very hard on the farm running a dairy and a hog operation. She worked out in the field and drove tractors and combines. She also had a figurine collection.
She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Jacqueline Kurz, son Rick Kurz, brothers Roland Mieninger, Marvin Mieninger, Johnny Mieninger, Gordon Mieninger and Richard Mieninger, sisters Yvonne Gracia and Margaret Church and daughter-in-law Dianna Kurz.
She is survived by her children Robert Kurz, Jr. of Sidney, NE, Karen and husband Lyle Duling of Stapleton, NE, Russell and wife Jan Kurz of Glendale, AZ and daughter-in-law Eve Kurz of Phoenix, AZ, sisters Carole Mieninger, Betty Briant, Cheyle Mieninger, brothers Roger Mieninger of Denver, CO and Phillip Mieninger of Oklahoma, 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
